Beetroot Alto F1 Seeds (Beta Vulgaris), Sweet long cylindrical roots which are perfect for slicing. Inside they have rich red, ring-less inner flesh and this variety will store well over a long period.
March to July
Sow beetroot seeds thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm deep with 30cm between rows.
Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4″). Do not transplant. Only needs watering when there is a drought. Lift carefully and leave about 5cm (2″) of stalk to prevent bleeding when cooking
Start harvesting Beetroot Alto F1 from June to October
